Liso was seized from a circus by the Peruvian authorities and placed in temporary facilities in a zoo, who then handed him over to ADI to join the lions we had rescued on the ADI Spirit of Freedom flight to Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa.
Once one of the angriest lions we have ever rescued, his first days in our care he was all snarling, rage and fury. But in our care he has calmed right down, and with his companion José seems very peaceful. Still you wouldn’t want to get the wrong side of the pair! Liso and José are two true lion warriors who will be right at home in their safe and secure enclosure in the African bush.
