Thank you!

13912872_10155166840269358_6674655726835267745_nThank you to everyone who has supported the veterinary work on ADI’s rescued circus lions at Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa. In this picture, Dr Peter Caldwell (surrounded by veterinary students he is teaching) spays lioness Africa to ensure she cannot breed, and in the background Dr Gerhard Steenkamp performs dental surgery on Muneca. Dental surgery has been performed on Leo, Ojiclaro, Junior and Muneca – all of whom had endured major damage to their teeth whilst in the circus – and daughters Africa and Kiara were spayed. This is the second wave of major veterinary procedures as the lions are prepared to roam in their main enclosures and there will be more next month.

Please keep supporting this work as we transform the lives of these animals and Donate Today

Special thanks to: Dr Peter Caldwell of Old Chapel Veterinary Clinic overseeing all veterinary procedures in the rehabilitation of the lions; Dr Gerhard Steenkamp, veterinary dentist and co-founder of savingthesurvivors.org; Dr Brendan Tindall, co-founder of thewildspirit.com.
